Chele La Trek rated as moderate to hard adventure is suitable for those who wish to experience high Himalayas within a short period. On this trek, you will have enchanting view of Mount Jumolhari, Jichu Drake and Tsherimgang mountains. You will also have distant view of Mount Kanchenjongga of Sikkim. The first day of the trek, commences from the Haa Valley at 3000m. We walk north of the Haa Valley through country-side against the stream through yak summer grazing land. After making the last steep ascent for an hour we arrive out campsite at Sagala at 3890m. The last two days of the trek is a walk along the high ridges that offer amazing views of Mountains and Valleys of Paro and Haa beneath. The last leg of the trek is a steep ascent till the Kung Karpo at an altitude of 4455m. Its famous sky burial marked by stone cairns and old mediation hut.
3 Hours Before Flight Time
The Trek begins from hotel Olathang, Paro. Most of the days walk is a gradual climb through farmland. The view of the Paro valley from the trail is excellent. Overnight in camp at Chonana at an altitude of 3, 500 m.
This is a superb trekking day, which takes you uphill for about 5hours, allowing for plenty of stops. The trail leads through forests filled with many species of primula and rhododendron. Weather permitting, views of the Himalayan range can be seen. Overnight camp.
The trail is downhill all the way, following the old trail between Haa and Paro, through dense forests. The trek ends at kichu in Paro valley. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.
